Myanmar Religion & Politics
Myanmar is a multi-faith country. The country owns 90% of Theravada Buddhism and 4 % of Christianity, 4% of Islam, 1% of Hinduism, and 1% of Mahayana Buddhism, Vajrayana Buddhism, and Animism. The country is administered under the parliamentary method with a bicameral legislature. The military appoints 25 % of the legislators, and the remaining 75% of legislators are elected in general elections.

The economy of Myanmar is an emerging economy. The grey economy in Myanmar is closely linked to smuggling and illegal trade. Most of the people depend on agriculture and activities such as processing, transporting, marketing, and exporting agricultural products. The other occupations are forestry, and fishing contributes to the Myanmar economy.
