Isolation and limited transportation greatly affect the potential growth in the tourism sector. The inflation rate is predicted to be 3.4%, while the unemployment rate remains to be 22%. In reality, the economy of Micronesia is fragile in appearance due to major dependence on US assistance and a decrease in the performance of private sectors.
