Hungary, a landlocked country located in the Carpathian Basin, is among the top tourist destinations in Europe. Through this country flows Danube and Tisza, two of the longest rivers, which splits the country into three regions. The geographic area is less than 200 meters above sea level. The ethnic Hungarians can account for 84% of the population, although this country is also inhabited by the Celts, Romans, Slavs, Huns, Avars, and Gepids.
Hungary Religion & Politics
Though there is no official religion in Hungary, the common religion is Christianity. During the 16th century, many Hungarians became Lutherans and then converted mainly to Calvinism. Also, at one time, it served as a home to a large Jewish population. Right now, the capital city Budapest serves a center for the Hungarian Jewish population.

A high-income mixed economy is observed, which gives the country a 10th position in the Economic Complexity Index. It also sits in the 13th ranking position in the lowest income inequality in the world. This country has the 57th largest economy in the world, with an annual output of 265.037 billion dollars. It especially focuses on the export-oriented market economy giving primary importance to foreign trade.
