Denmark Population History
Denmark existed back from the 10th century. Until 1849, it wasn’t provided the constitutional monarchy. All through world wars, Denmark remained neutral. This was until there was an invasion at the beginning of the 1940s by Nazis. Greenland was made a part of Denmark in 1953. In 1979, they were given home rule. There was a population growth that was steady as recording began. In 1769, 797,584 people were its population and reached 841,806 by 1787.

About 90 percent of the population of Denmark is from Danish descendants. The rest of the 10 percent are either descendants of immigrants or immigrants themselves. People from Somalia, Turkey, the Middle East, Herzegovina, Iraq, Bosnia, and South Asia immigrated here. Around 34 percent are from a western background. Faroese, Danish, and Greenlandic are well-known languages here in Denmark.

Denmark Religion and Politics
The official faith of the state is The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark. Most Danes are Christians contributing to 71.7 percent, while Lutherans are 60 percent, 1.2 percent are Catholic, 2.2 percent are Orthodox, and 8.3 percent are other practices. Religion is not included in politics, and most of the politicians are Agnostic/Atheists.

The living standards of Denmark are comfortable, and it has 10th highest per capita income on the globe. 50 percent of the country’s GDP is made up of trade. Unemployment is lesser than in other EU countries. Monarch is the executive, central, and legislative power in the Denmark government.
