China Demographics

The dominant age group in China is 25-54 years making up 46.3% of the total population. The 0-14 years age group is the second-largest making up 17.7% of the population.

The male population constitutes 51.29% of the total Chinese population, while the share of females is 48.71%. The sex ratio is 1.05.

China Religion and Politics

The Communist Party of China, which rules the country, rejects religion and has made Marxist-Leninism-Maoism the guiding philosophy of the Chinese state. However, five religious associations are allowed by the Chinese government.

Since the communist revolution after World War 2, the Chinese Communist Party has been ruling China. No other political party is allowed to operate in China.
