Burkina Faso Population: 20,699,124

Burkina Faso is landlocked and is located in West Africa. It has an area of around 274,200 square km. Six countries surround Burkina Faso, and these are Mali which lies to the North, Niger is towards the East, on the Southeast side is Benin and Tago. Ghana lies to the South, and on the Southwest side is Ivory Coast. The country was called the Republic of Upper Volta in the initial phases, and later it was renamed as “Burkina Faso” in the year 1984 on 4th August. The capital of the country is Ouagadougou.
