Belgium shares its borders with the Netherlands in the North, Germany in the eat, Luxembourg in the southeast, France in the Southwest, and the North Sea is located at the northwest. Though it is a small country, it has been the major European battleground.

Belgium Religion and Politics
The Catholic Christians represent the larger portion of the population in Belgium. The Roman Catholics account for the major share of the population around 57.1%, and the protestants account for 2-3%, while the orthodox Christians account for 0.6%. About 29.3% of the population is nonreligious. In which 9.15 % are atheists. 6.85 of the population are Muslims, and 1.1% of people follow other religions.
The Belgian politics was influenced by Christian ideology till the beginning of the 21 st century. The rise of NVA, the Flemish nationalist party, has changed the scenario. The Belgian state is now secular, with a clear demarcation between the government and religion.
Belgium Economy
The economy of Belgium is a capitalist. It owes it to the geographic location, diversified industrial base as well as a highly developed transportation network. Services account for about 74.9% of the GDP, and agriculture accounts for 1% of the GDP. Belgium is a member state of the Benelux. However, due to the banking crisis, Belgium registered negative growth in the year 2009. Unemployment has been a significant problem that Belgium faces consistently.
